From the moment it was conceptualised, and 1.8 million cubic metres of material were dredged, Yas Links was always going to be different, if only for its remarkable surroundings. The intention was never to impose a golf course onto the coast, but rather to enrich the existing shoreline with the development.

The 27 hole championship course, home to the PGA European Tour Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, provides a tough but fair challenge. Featured in Golf World's Top 100 Golf Courses 2010, the 162 hectares of the award winning Abu Dhabi Golf Club features the finest world-class 27-hole championship golfing facility in the Middle East.

Designed by Peter Harradine, planting had begun way back in 1992, accounting for the well-established look the Club presented even on the day of its inauguration.

An oasis of tranquility carved out of the desert, Abu Dhabi Golf Club offers one of the most luxurious golf resort experiences in the Middle East.

The 27-hole championship course weaves through undulating terrain that features pockets of palms, ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as seven spectacular saltwater lakes. The par-72, 7,334-yard, with 18 holes of lush fairways, strategically placed bunkers and generous greens. The 3,299-yard, par-36 nine is more forgiving, making it an enjoyable experience for all players, especially those new to the game.
